The purpose of Project SLAM is to bring into the classroom the excitement of field seismology research, combined with a set of lessons that provide natural links between the doing science in the field and acquiring knowledge about earthquakes and earth structure. The activities on this website are designed to simulate portions of the scientific process, and to excite students about the vast opportunities in Earth science research.
